Doncaster Rovers midfielder Tony Donaldson has been allowed to leave the club.

The former Liverpool Foundation College graduate has been allowed to leave after failing to break into the first team squad.

The 19-year-old arrived at the club in January 2017 after a successful trial with the club on a deal until the summer of 2018.

Donaldson arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium from non-league side Runcorn Linnets and he was immediately loaned to fellow non-league side AFC Telford.

He returned to Doncaster but he failed to break into the first team squad this season.

The young midfielder joins goalkeeper Ross Etheridge in leaving the club this weekend.
