Doncaster Rovers boss Brian Flynn says he is keen to keep John Lundstram when his initial one-month loan deal runs out.

The young Everton midfielder has impressed in his two starts since joining last week and Flynn says he has already spoken to toffees boss David Moyes.

Speaking on the Doncaster Rovers official website , Flynn said, “He is quality, don`t be surprised.

“He is here initially for a month but I have tentatively approached David Moyes to see if he can make it longer and he is not against that at the moment, he has been delighted with what he has seen and heard so far.”

The 19-year-old currently captains the England under 19 side, he has also represented England at under 17 and 18 level. He played in the World Cup finals in 2011 for the under 17`s, where England reached the quarter finals, before going on to captain the under 18 side.

He certainly has a bright future in the game and gaining first team experience at the Keepmoat Stadium with Doncaster is beneficial for all parties.
