Doncaster Rover have extended the current deal with manager Brian Flynn by two weeks whilst the club discuss his future.
Flynn, who took over from Dean Saunders in January, led the club to the League One title on Saturday with a dramatic win at Brentford. He led the side to ten wins in his twenty games in charge.
The vastly experienced manager came to the end of his current deal with the club following the game but Rovers chairman John Ryan says they have extended his deal by two weeks whilst they discuss the manager`s position.
Ryan told BBC Radio Sheffield, ‘We’ve extended Brian’s contract by a couple of weeks so he’s still getting paid.
‘I’m going to sit down with the major shareholders on Tuesday and discuss a lot of peoples’ futures.
‘It isn’t just Brian, there are a lot of other people out of contract too.’
Rovers have just eight of their current squad still in contract as they look to build for the championship next season.
They have already moved quickly to extend the deal of inspirational captain Rob Jones, who signed a new two-year deal on Friday.
