Doncaster Rovers have appointed Brian Flynn as manager of the club until the end of the season.

Flynn is to be assisted by defender and Captain Rob Jones after the pair led Rovers to victory, in their first game in charge at Stevenage last week.

The former Wrexham and Swansea City boss also had a brief spell in charge of the Wales national squad in a caretaker role in 2010 as well as the under 21 side.

The 57-year-old has been at the club for six months working as a scout and he also played for Rovers on two occasions in the 1980`s.

Flynn takes over with the club joint top of League One with 19 games remaining.
