Marc De Val Fernandez is set to undergo a scan on Monday on the knee injury he suffered in the pre-season friendly with Motherwell on Saturday.

Fernandez was carried off the pitch following a heavy clash with Motherwell`s Paul Lawson.

The former Real Madrid midfielder was left clutching his right knee following the clash and Paul Keegan replaced him in midfield.

Fernandez was the first player signed by manager Paul Dickov in June on a two-year deal and he will be hoping that the news from the scan will not be too serious.
