Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson was left disappointed after his side crashed out of the FA Cup to Rochdale.
Rochdale won the tie 1-0 at the Keepmoat despite Doncaster creating a host of chances and Ferguson says they only have themselves to blame for not taking their chances.
“It is a very disappointing result given the way the game went,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.
‘We are out of the cup, you cannot get it back. It was a really good opportunity to get into the fourth round.
‘But we’ve only got ourselves to blame with the amount of chances we missed. When you create that many chances, you have to take one of them.
‘We have to take one of those chances.”
Calvin Andrew scored the only goal of the game for Rochdale on 18 minutes.
Doncaster created a number of chances in the second half with Alfie Beestin, Tommy Rowe and John Marquis having the best chances to level the tie whilst Doncaster had a number of penalty chances waved away by referee Andy Woolmer.
