Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson was delighted with his players after they beat Scunthorpe United to progress through to the FA Cup Third Round.

Doncaster eased past Scunthorpe with a 3-0 win and Ferguson felt it was a comfortable victory against an inform Scunthorpe side that arrived at the Keepmoat on the back of six wins in a row.

“Delighted, absolutely delighted with the players,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

“Brave, on the ball and we played the way I wanted us to do. Sometimes we will not be as good as we were today on the ball, but today we were. It is what pleases me the most.

“It was a comfortable victory.”

Tommy Rowe was the Doncaster hero with two goals and Liam Mandeville capped off a great team performance with a third in injury time.

Doncaster will now wait to hear who they will face in the third round when the draw is made on Monday evening at approximately 7.10pm on BT Sport 1 and BBC Two.
