Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson was left disappointed with the performance as they went down to their first defeat of the season at AFC Wimbledon.

Doncaster went down to a 2-0 defeat at Wimbledon with the hosts scoring twice in quick succession.

Ferguson was left to watch on as his side struggled to create any chances and he admitted after the game that Wimbledon deserved the three points.

‘It’s a very disappointing day,’ Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

‘Wimbledon deserved to win the game, they thoroughly deserved it in the second half.

‘I can’t really look at my team and think who really had a good performance or one anywhere near the levels that we normally get.

‘We were way off it as a team today.”

Kweshi Appiah and Andy Barcham scored the goals for the hosts as they condemned Doncaster to their first defeat of the season.
