Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson felt his side deserved the victory after coming away from League One favourites Blackburn Rovers with the points.

Doncaster scored three times in the second half on their way to beating Blackburn 3-1, as they recorded their first ever victory at Ewood Park.

“I thought we deserved the victory, we really did, Ferguson told The Sheffield Star.

‘Our performance was a mature one and it was a solid one.

‘Our distances and our discipline both on and off the ball were very, very good today.

‘We felt it was a game where we would have time on the ball, especially the centre halves.

‘It was quite a tactical affair but once the first goal we were really clinical.

‘I was delighted all the way through the game.’

John Marquis, James Coppinger and Alfie May were all on target for Doncaster as they made the most of some poor defending by Blackburn and even a late consolation goal for the home side, couldn`t dampen a perfect away day for Doncaster.
