Doncaster Rovers manager Darren Ferguson felt his side showed great character to come from behind to beat Notts County 3-1.
Doncaster had trailed to a Richard Duffy goal on 20 minutes but goals either side of half time from James Coppinger and Mathieu Baudry turned the game in their favour and a third goal late in the game from Andy Williams capped off another important win.
‘It thought we were very good in parts. The main thing that stood out for me was two things, the character of the team and the belief to do what we do in training,’ Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield .
‘The character to come from behind against a good team, it was very good character.
‘We went behind to a sloppy goal. I could sense a little bit of tension in the ground and a little bit of nervousness.
‘Great character from the players and that is the most important thing.’
The win for Doncaster sees them remain unbeaten at home at the Keepmoat Stadium this season.
Doncaster travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday before welcoming second placed Plymouth Argyle to the Keepmoat for a game in front of the live Sky TV cameras.
