Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson felt a much improved second half performance helped them claim a point at promotion chasing Shrewsbury Town.
Doncaster scored twice in the last half hour to earn a point in a 2-2 draw after falling 2-0 behind early in the second half and Ferguson says his side played as they can in the second half.
“Credit to my players because we found a way of not losing the game,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.
“In the second half we played like we can. We matched their energy, we started winning tackles, headers and we started running as much as them. In the first half, we didn`t do any of that or play anywhere near good enough, and that was the problem.”
Goals from Matt Sadler and Colin Morris looked to have earned Shrewsbury the three points but Doncaster fought back with first league goals of the season from Mathieu Baudry and Issam Ben Khemis.
The draw extends Doncaster`s unbeaten run to seven games and they now travel to Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night, another side challenging for promotion.
