Doncaster Rovers have confirmed on their official website that defender Matt Mills is in talks with Reading FC.

Sean O`Driscoll speaking on Radio Sheffield said that Mills is currently in talks with the Berskhire club after the two clubs agreed a fee for the 23 year old.

A deal will now be done depending on Mills passing a medical and personal terms with Reading.

Mills played a huge part in Rovers promotion from League One in 2007/08 whilst on loan from Premiership side Manchester City and Rovers wasted no time in signing him last summer for a club record £300,000.

Mills made 45 appearances for the club in the Championship last season helping the side maintain their place in the Championship with a number of outstanding performances.
