Doncaster Rovers entertain West Ham United on Saturday for the first time in a competitive fixture since 1958.

The two clubs have clashed just eleven times at Doncaster over the years with the home side having much the better record.

Of the eleven games, Rovers have won 7, West Ham 3 and 1 draw.

The first ever meeting between the two came in a Second Division clash during the 1935/36 season when West Ham left Belle Vue with the points in a 2-1 win.

The following season West Ham again left Doncaster with both points in a 4-1 victory, their best ever win at Doncaster.

It wasn`t until after the Second World War that the two sides met again in 1947. Doncaster claimed their first win with a 1-0 victory.

The two sides met every season in the Second Division between 1950/51 and 1957/58.

When the two sides last met in the 1957/58 season, West Ham won 2-1.

Doncaster enjoyed their best win during the 1951/52 season when they put four past West Ham in a 4-1 win.
