Mick Russell will be the man in charge of this Saturday`s Championship clash between Doncaster and Preston.

Russell has refereed two games this season, the 1-1 draw between Southampton and Millwall last Saturday and the midweek Carling Cup clash between Shrewsbury and Ipswich, which finished 3-3.

He only showed one yellow card in those two games.

Last season he refereed 28 games, handing out 57 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Russell refereed Doncaster on one occasion last season, the 2-0 home defeat against Southampton. On that afternoon, he awarded two penalties against Rovers.

He also refereed Preston just the once, the 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
