Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson will welcome Ben Whiteman back into the squad for the clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Whiteman missed the FA Cup tie against Rochdale last weekend after being recalled from his loan spell by Sheffield United but Doncaster have now brought the midfielder back to the Keepmoat Stadium on a permanent deal.

James Coppinger, Tyler Garratt and Joe Wright are all pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after being named amongst the substitutes against Rochdale.

Ross Etheridge, Luke McCullough, Danny Andrew, Alex Kiwomya and Andy Williams all remain on the sidelines for Doncaster.

Former Doncaster defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair is still missing for Plymouth despite returning to training after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Plymouth have lost Toumani Diagouraga this week after the midfielder joined Fleetwood Town.

The Pilgrims are in great form at the moment and manager Derek Adams is expected to stick with the side that beat Bury 3-0 last weekend with the exception of Diagouraga.
