Doncaster Rovers striker Alfie May is pushing for a starting place against Oldham Athletic this weekend.

May returned from injury from the bench, completing 20 minutes, in the 1-0 defeat at Oxford United last weekend after recovering from the hernia injury that had kept him sidelined since October.

Doncaster boss Darren Ferguson will also be hoping Matty Blair is available after he missed the trip to the Kassam Stadium with a calf injury.

Rodney Kongolo, Liam Mandeville and Mathieu Baudry are also pushing for a recall to the starting eleven after being named amongst the substitutes at Oxford.

Ross Etheridge, Danny Andrew, Luke McCullough, Andy Williams and Alex Kiwomya remain on the sidelines for Doncaster through injury.

Former Doncaster Rovers manager Richie Wellens is now in charge at Oldham and he brings the Latics to the Keepmoat Stadium in good form.

Wellens is expected to stick with the side that beat Northampton Town 5-1 last weekend.

Former Doncaster midfielder Paul Green was amongst the substitutes last weekend after recovering from injury.

Gyamfi Kyeremeh and Courtney Duffus remain sidelined through injury.
