Doncaster are being linked with another Oldham player this week according to the Oldham Advertiser.

Having been linked with a £400,000 bid for centre forward Lee Hughes last week, Rovers along with Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United are said to be chasing winger Chris Taylor.

Rovers were linked with a £300,000 bid for the player at the end of last season but nothing ever came of the rumours, with the form he`s shown this season Oldham will probably be wanting close to double that figure.

Taylor`s been in fine form this season scoring eight goals in Oldham`s push for promotion from league One.

With Rovers short of goals this season both would be decent acquisitions to the squad. I doubt Rovers will be willing to pay a minimum of £1,000,000 for two players when the club have already said that they are not willing to spend much cash whilst trying to stay in the Championship.
