Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov felt his side were unlucky after losing 1-0 at Blackburn Rovers.
Doncaster went in at half time behind after a defensive mistake on the stroke of half time allowed Jordan Rhodes to cross for Rudy Gestede to head home.
In the second half, Doncaster enjoyed much the better of the game with goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who has only recently returned to football after a long-term injury, showed why he has played at the highest level during his career, with a superb save to deny youngster Alex Peterson his first senior goal. Robinson`s reflex save denying Peterson`s close range header.
Dickov was pleased with the showing in the second half and he feels they are not having any luck at the moment.
Speaking after the game, Dickov said, ‘I thought Blackburn started really well, pressed us and put us on the back foot. We weathered the storm and there was nothing in the game.
‘I thought some of the stuff in the second half was excellent and we were unlucky yet again.
‘Paul Robinson showed why he’s an England international with the two saves at the end because the first one was special. I’ve just seen it again and it was top class.”
The defeat for Rovers sees them remain one point from safety in the championship with Millwall, one place outside the relegation zone, also losing.
