Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he has not had any contact with Iain Hume, who spent last season on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium from Preston North End.

The striker played a huge part in helping Rovers win the League One title, making 36 appearances and scoring 7 goals and he won many plaudits for his all-round hard work for the side.

Speaking in the Doncaster Free Press, Dickov said, “Iain is a player I like, he`s a little bundle of energy but there`s been no contact with him or his agent.”

Hume still as one-year remaining on his current deal at Deepdale and there is a new manager at the club since he departed for the Keepmoat last August.

His former boss Graham Westley has now been replaced by Simon Grayson at Deepdale and he could be looking at a fresh start with the club, who he first signed for in September 2010.
