Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson says a deal to bring Jordan Houghton back to the club from Chelsea is now done between the two clubs.
Houghton spent much of last season on loan at the Keepmoat from Stamford Bridge until a serious knee injury curtailed his spell at the club in February.
Ferguson has monitored Houghton`s recovery over the summer, he has been keen to do a deal with the Premier League giants to bring Houghton back to the club for a second spell, and the Doncaster boss says everything is now sorted for him to return.
“Houghton is all done,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.
“It has just been agreed and it is all done.
“It won`t be completed until Wednesday but it has all been done, the paperwork has been completed and it will go to the Football League now so we are absolutely delighted.
“He will join us the week of the (Carabao) cup match.”
Houghton played 36 times for Doncaster including starting every league game until his untimely injury in February and he was an integral part of the midfield that helped the club make an instant return to League One.
His form also saw him shortlisted for the League Two Player of the Month in November.
