The FA have charged Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson following his outburst towards the officials following the game with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Ferguson was incensed following the 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat feeling his side should have had a free-kick in the lead up to Plymouth`s equalising goal and a penalty in the closing moments of the game.

The Doncaster boss told reporters after the game that he felt the officials should be shot, an interview that was published on Vital Doncaster.

Ferguson issued a statement the following day on the Doncaster Rovers official website apologising for his comments and stating it was a tongue-in-cheek comment.

Ferguson has until 6pm on Monday 22nd January to respond to the FA charge.
