Doncaster Rovers midfielder David Cotterill is hoping the international break has done them good after a poor display against Bournemouth in their last game.

Rovers went into the international break with a disappointing home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth after they had made an encouraging start to the season that had seen them beat Blackburn Rovers and draw with Wigan Athletic.

Cotterill and the rest of the Rovers squad have been preparing for the Yorkshire derby at Huddersfield this Saturday and the midfielder is hoping they can come away with the right result.

“It is going to be a tough game because they have started well,” Cotterill told Football Heaven on Radio Sheffield.

“I am hoping the break has done us some good, we will be raring to go and we can get the right result.”

Rovers are unbeaten in their last six games against Huddersfield and their last four at the John Smiths Stadium, as it is now known.

The last time Rovers visited, Gareth Taylor and Paul Green scored for Rovers in a 2-2 draw.
