Doncaster Rovers midfielder James Coppinger is looking forward to next season despite being linked with a move away from the Keepmoat.

Ipswich Town have offered £300,000 for the 30 year old, an offer that Rovers declined.

Coppinger is now looking forward to reporting for pre season training in a few weeks time. Speaking in the Doncaster Star , Coppinger said, “I can`t wait to get back and I`m looking forward to next season.
“I`ll be reporting to Doncaster on July 4 and I`m looking forward to it.
“I came back and spoke to the chairman and we left it at that.”

Coppinger is Rovers longest serving player having joined the club from Exeter City in 2004.

Despite Rovers struggling in the championship last season, Coppinger enjoyed an excellent season, scoring seven goals, which included a hat trick against Norwich City.
