Doncaster Rovers defender George Friend is a wanted man according to reports on TalkSport.

Leeds United are rumoured to be leading the chase to sign the 23 year old defender with fellow championship sides Burnley and Crystal Palace also rumoured to be in the hunt.

The defender signed for Rovers last summer on a two-year deal after being released by Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Friend, who usually plays at left back showed his versatility last season playing in a number of different positions for the injury ravaged Rovers.

He went on to make 35 appearances in his first season at the Keepmoat, helping the side retain their championship place.
