Experienced defender Pascal Chimbonda has extended his deal with Doncaster Rovers.

Chimbonda was manager Dean Saunders first signing when he joined Rovers on a short-term deal at the end of September.

The 32 year old will now remain at the Keepmoat until the end of the season and he becomes the second player in the last week, following El Hadji Diouf in extending his short-term deal.

The French international returned to the squad at Burnley on Boxing Day after recovering from a hip injury.

He will be hoping to make his first start since the win at Ipswich Town at the beginning of October when Rovers travel to Watford on Saturday.
