The interest in Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp seems to be hotting up with the January transfer window due to open on Monday.
According to reports, the clubs leading goalscorer for the last two seasons is being chased by a host of clubs willing to match the £3 million price valuation put on Sharp by the club.
Rovers chairman John Ryan stated last week that Sharp was free to talk to other clubs if a club came in with a £3 million bid.
Premier League sides Wigan Athletic and Fulham have been linked along with championship sides Leicester City and Southampton.
Rovers agreed a deal with Southampton in the summer for Sharp but the striker turned down the opportunity to move to the south coast.
Ipswich Town and Hull City have also shown an interest in Sharp. Ipswich boss Paul Jewell ruled out a move for Sharp in January just last week when he said, they could not afford the asking price.
Hull are also reported to be wanting to offer less than the £3 million asking price, therefore almost certainly ruling them out.
Sharp is once again leading the way for Rovers this season, netting nine times in sixteen appearances.
