Rovers recent signing Steve Brooker has been ruled out for the season after it`s been revealed he needs surgery on a long term ankle problem.

Brooker originally joined Rovers in November but had to return to his parent club after only one game after suffering a calf tear.

They believe that Brooker`s ongoing injury problems could be down to the ankle injury that he`s been suffering for over a year.

Rovers have now discovered their goal scoring boots and his absence will not be has sorely missed has it was felt when he got injured in November.
