Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has hit out at new Doncaster Rovers owner John Ryan following the arrival of Chris Brown.

Brown has activated a clause in his contract allowing him to leave Doncaster following their relegation and he is staying in the championship with Blackburn.

Ryan, who along with Louis Tomlinson completed his takeover at Doncaster last week, admitted he couldn`t compete with Blackburn who he said were offering Brown £10,000 a week but Bowyer refutes those claims and he says it is not the first time that Ryan has broadcasted inaccuracies.

Speaking on the Blackburn Rovers official website , Bowyer said, “Contrary to reports, he is not on the wages that their Chairman has stated and we are disappointed that for the second summer running he has made comments regarding player`s wages that are both unwelcome and inaccurate.”

Last summer, defender Tommy Spurr turned down the offer of a new deal at Doncaster to join up with Bowyer at Blackburn.
