Doncaster Rovers have extended the contract of Giles Barnes, keeping him at the Keepmoat until the end of the season.

Barnes signed a short-term deal at the Keepmoat in the summer after a successful trial during pre-season.

The midfielder`s current deal was due to expire this month, with a number of clubs, including Scottish giants Celtic were rumoured to be interesting in signing Barnes.

The 23 year old has made 21 appearances so far this season, becoming a regular in the side under Dean Saunders.
