Doncaster Rovers went down to a 1-0 defeat to Oxford United at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
James Henry scored the only goal of the game for the visitors just past the hour mark as Oxford completed the double over Doncaster having won by the same scoreline at the Kassam Stadium back in December.
Doncaster dominated all the stats having more possession, more shots on goal and on target and more corners but Oxford won the key stat as their win eased their relegation worries with just two games remaining for the U’s.
Whilst Oxford have just two games remaining, Doncaster still have to play four more games starting with another home game on Tuesday night when they welcome promotion-chasing Blackburn Rovers to the Keepmoat.
A win at the Keepmoat will secure promotion for Blackburn but Doncaster will be looking to bounce back from the defeat against Oxford by completing the double over Blackburn having won 3-1 at Ewood Park in August.
