Doncaster Rovers and Peterborough United battled out a goalless draw at the Keepmoat on Saturday.

Both sides cancelled each other out for much of the game with similar formations as Doncaster made it three draws from three games at the Keepmoat this season.

Peterborough, who came into the game with a 100% record, had the better of the first half and should have led at the break.

Marcus Maddison came closest for the visitors when his speculative long-range effort cannoned back off the crossbar.

John Marquis had Doncaster`s best chance early in the game following a mistake in the Peterborough defence but his weak effort was easy for Jonathan Bond in the visitor`s goal.

Doncaster had the better of the second half without really threatening the Peterborough goal. Substitute Andy Williams had the best chance when his close range shot was blocked after a good run and cross from Matty Blair.
