Doncaster Rovers came from behind against MK Dons to secure a crucial three points.

Second half goals from John Marquis and Matty Blair cancelled out a first half strike from Chuks Aneke and the side owed a lot to goalkeeper Ian Lawlor who made a number of excellent saves.

MK Dons were ahead after just three minutes when Aneke volleyed home after Rodney Kongolo missed the ball coming across the edge of the area.

Lawlor then kept Doncaster in the game in the first half as he denied Aneke and Ed Upson on two separate occasions each as well as Peter Pawlett.

Doncaster were grateful to go in at the break just one down and manager Darren Ferguson made a crucial change at half time with Alfie Beestin replacing Kongolo.

Ben Whiteman and Beestin both went close for Doncaster before they levelled. Beestin set up the equaliser as he headed a James Coppinger corner goal wards and Marquis bundled the ball over the line from close range.

The striker then played in Matty Blair who fired home to give Doncaster the lead.

Lawlor had a much quieter second half but he kept Doncaster ahead when he denied Kieran Agard with a fantastic save.

Doncaster then saw the game out to claim a much-needed three points as they try to pull away from the relegation places.
