Alan Blayney played the whole of Northern Ireland’s game against Romania in the USA last night.

Northern Ireland lost the game by two goals to nil, but the match reports suggest that Blayney was not at fault for either goal. The Rovers ‘keeper made some imporant saves in the second half to keep the score down.

Northern Ireland had James Quinn sent off for a reckless challenge in the 38th minute.

The last time a Doncaster Rovers player won a full international cap, whilst at the club was back in the 1960’s. That honour went to Alfie Hale
